  4. 1.  KEYBOARD FUNCTION ASSIGNMENTS
  5.  
  6.     The following are the keys and their function descriptions:    
  7.  
  8.     [F3]            Exit to DOS, all changes are discarded.
  9.     [TAB]           Move to Option.
  10.     [ENTER]         Accept Button. 
  11.                     Open Combo Box for selecting options,
  12.                     Accept options from combo Box.

  17. 2.  BUTTON FUNCTION DESCRIPTIONS
  18.  
  19.     A button can be activated by either a mouse, keyboard [ENTER] or
  20.     ALT+button's hotkey.
  21.           
  22.     The following are the BUTTON names and their function 
  23.     descriptions:

  25.     HELP            Brings up this help page.
  26.  
  27.     DEFAULT         Resets sound card to default configurations.
  28.  
  29.     ACCEPT          Accept the current chosen options and exit.
  30.                     The program checks for hardware conflicts. 
  31.                     If conflict exists, a warning window will show.
  32.                     The program updates the sound configuration and
  33.                     system files: SOUND16.CFG, CDROM.CFG, CONFIG.SYS
  34.                     AUTOEXEC.BAT, SYSTEM.INI, before exiting to DOS.
  35.  
  36.     SOUND TEST      Brings up the Sound Test Window.
  37.                     The Sound Test Window allows the following
  38.                     tests with the chosen hardware settings:
  39.                         8-Bit Sound Test  (Test SB Pro settings)
  40.                         16-Bit Sound Test (Test WSS settings)
  41.                         FM Music Test

  43.     VOLUME          Brings up the Volume Control Window.
  44.                     The Volume Control Window allows the following
  45.                     volume adjustments:
  46.                         Master Volume
  47.                         Voice Volume
  48.                         FM Music Volume
  49.                         CD Audio Volume

  51.     CHANGE OPTIONS  Brings up the CD-ROM Configuration Window.
  52.                     The CD-ROM Configuration Window allows the
  53.                     following CD-ROM configurations:
  54.                         CD-ROM Drive Type
  55.                         MSCDEX selection
  56.                         I/O Address
  57.                         Interrupt
  58.                         DMA Channel

  61. 3.  COMBO BOX FUNCTION AND HARDWARE CONFIGURATION DESCRIPTIONS

  63.     A combo box can be activated by a mouse, or a keyboard [ENTER].
  64.     When activated, a list box with options is opened for selecions.

  66.     The following are the descriptions for each sound card's hardware 
  67.     section and its options:

  73.     Current Mode    your sound card can operate in one 
  74.                     of the following 2 operation modes:

  76.                     [Sound Blaster Pro] or

  79.                     Select [Sound Blaster Pro] mode to enable
  80.                     your sound card to play Sound Blaster 
  81.                     compatible DOS games. (Default)

  83.                     Selecting [Windows Sound System] mode will
  84.                     switch your sound card into the mode to 
  85.                     play those DOS games or utilities written
  86.                     for Microsoft WSS compatible sound cards.

  88.                     The selected mode becomes the current mode
  89.                     upon exiting.

  117.     There are 2 modes for DMA selections:

  119.     [Single DMA]: uses a single DMA channel 
  120.                   for DMA playback and capture.

  122.     [Dual DMA]:   Allows to playback and record
  123.                   at the same time.
  124.                   0/1, 1/0, 3/0 are the Dual DMA 
  125.                   selections. The first one is
  126.                   for Playback. 2nd: recording.

  128.     Note: 16-bit Sound Test in the Sound Test Window can be used to 
  129.           test Windows Sound System Mode regardless of what the 
  130.           Current Mode setting is.

  136.     MPU401 is the industrial standard interface
  137.     for MIDI (Music) devices such as keyboards
  138.     and some Wave Table Synthesizer devices.
